As connoisseurs of great coffee, I am sure you all have heard about the social and economic problems in some of the coffee producing regions of the world. Well, our roaster puts its money were its mouth is. They are supporting Adam's Organic Coffees - a company committed to selling exclusively organic coffees in an effort to support family farms, small collective and co-ops. A percentage of the profits are donated to local food banks, environmental education groups, organic farming advocacy groups, schools and prison gardening programs.

Their coffees are bird friendly and shade grown for natural fertilization and biodiversity. Their growers use no petro-chemical herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or fertilizers. The farmers use rich compost and vermin-compost from coffee cherry pulp and farm waste.

You hear a lot about organic coffees in the media but not many of these coffees are certified fair trade.
